PARAGRAPH 175 is an award-winning documentary about the persecution of gay men and women in Nazi Germany. Over 100,000 people were arrested under Paragraph 175 of the German penal code, and of those that were sent to concentration camps only 4,000 are known to have survived.
Five of these tell their stories in this film, in gripping accounts that bring to life the historical persecution and incarceration of LGBT people – serving as a stark reminder of the atrocities that homophobia continues to fuel in Chechnya today.
All profits from screenings of Paragraph 175 will be donated to the Russian LGBT Network.
